RSPB Rye Meads beautiful reserve, a wetland reserve, by the River Lee. Famous for it Common Kingfishers, offers all sorts of birds round the year. Common Terns, Snipes, Green Sandpipers, Shovelers, Gadwalls, Mallard, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Cormorants, Kestrels, Wagtails, Goldcrests, Reed Warblers and the list goes on. Lovely well maintained trails, hides and knowledgeable & helpful staff. Must visit for nature and bird lovers. One of my favourite places to relax, and calm down.
