Flocks of these birds are found in grasslands, cultivated areas, scrub and secondary growth and they are best known for their hanging retort shaped nests woven from leaves. Crown and back of female is yellowish-buff streaked brown. Indian Rose-ringed Parakeet (तोता) - Psittacula krameri manillensis  Indian Rose-ringed Parakeet (तोता) - Psittacula krameri manillensis  (42 cm), is the most common and widespread parakeet throughout most of the Indian sub-continent. Common European Stonechat गोजा (Saxicola rubicola) is an attractive, perky chat that sits up on bushes, flicks its wings and tail and gives a call that sounds like stones being knocked together, hence its name. Common European Stonechat गोजा (Saxicola rubicola) Cornwall, U.K. May 2021 Common European Stonechat (गोजा) - Saxicola rubicola (13cm), is a subcontinent birds sometimes treated as Asian Stonechat. Robin-sized, in all plumages tail uniformly dark, long but narrow white patch on inner edge of folded wing (often hidden), underparts peachy-orange, head lacks pale eyebrow. Brown rock chat or Indian chat (शमा) - Oenanthe fusca (17cm) is larger than the somewhat similar looking female  Indian Robin (कलचुरी) - Copsychus fulicatus .  It is uniformly rufous brown with the wings and tail of a slightly darker shade, tail being blackish. More rufous supercilium and cheek, stouter and straighter bill, paler and brown underparts and dark grey-brown vent. Also, the tail is broad and square across. Indian Robin has reddish or chestnut vent, more curved bill and greyish underparts. Found mainly in Central and Northern India.
