Birds Stories - Fund Raising for Godawan Community Projects
It all started with a Twitter post from Prerna Singh Bindra, that refreshed my memories, a sad one, about Great Indian Bustard or GIB or Godawan. ERDS Foundation was raising funds for a couple of community projects in their effort to involve the wider local population in the conservation of magnificent birds. EDRS foundation needed approx. INR 600K or £6K towards the 1-year cost of running a community-based project.

I got inspired by the holistic effort that Sumit Dookia and the whole ERDS team have been putting toward education, sustainability, employment, tourism, conflict management, and infrastructure. I would like to thank them for giving me an opportunity to chip in and raise some money for the project.
I personally pledged £200, with a target of raising £1000 for the project. I am glad that will support of my college friends, family friends, and friends on the social media I managed to raise approx. £1500. But I think the effort wasn't enough to raise funds sought by the ERDS foundation. Only 48% of the funds needed are raised. No contribution is less, I am very sure it will go a long way to secure something special for future generations.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who supported me in raising the funds for ERDS, by donating, sharing, tweeting, and talking about the cause. Thank you very much and keep supporting the ERDS Foundation in its effort to #SaveGIB.
