The only drongo commonly found in open country. It feeds on insects, and is common in open agricultural areas and light forests throughout its range, perching conspicuously on a bare perch or along power or telephone lines. Black Drongo is known for its aggressive behavior towards much larger birds, such as crows, never hesitating to chase birds of prey away from their territory.
